Summary
EMH&T is central Ohio's largest consulting civil engineering firm that values its employees and fosters a collaborative work environment. We are currently seeking an experienced and detailed oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Accounting team and contribute to the continued success of our organization. This person will report to the Accounting Director. As the Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will receive, process and issue payments for vendor invoices and maintain vendor relationships. In addition, you will research and resolve problem invoices and prepare them for processing; identify and communicate unresolved discrepancies to the Accounting Director; collaborate with other members of the team and internal customers to resolve various issues that may arise with invoices; process weekly check runs; reconcile vendor statements; manage the corporate credit card program including monthly reconciliation of statements; and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant discipline is desired; specialized training or work experience equivalent to at least five (5) years in an AP/business/finance/accounting setting, preferred; high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work; ability to prioritize and manage incoming work while meeting fluid deadlines; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and ability to easily provide excellent customer service to both internal and external team members.
