Summary
EMH&T is currently seeking an emerging CAD Technician to join our dynamic Transportation Partnerships team and play a key role in the design and development of various projects. The CAD Technician will collaborate closely with other Technicians, Engineers and Project Managers and will play a crucial role creating detailed and accurate technical drawings and plans in the product development process using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. Your work will be instrumental in turning concepts into tangible designs and will contribute to the successful completion of our projects. The role is engaged in drafting and plan preparation for engineering design components (plans, profiles, typical sections, drainage plans, utility profiles, grading details, etc) for construction plans related to street improvements, intersections, sidewalks, bike paths, and utility improvements. The individual will be mentored and trained to follow prescribed EMH&T drafting standards or other required standards e.g. ODOT standards. In addition, this person will prepare exhibits for meetings and public information; and assist in estimating quantities for items such as pavement and earthwork.
Qualifications
Qualifications include some specialized training, education, or experience with one or more CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or Microstation; some work experience with drafting; and knowledge of basic math (geometry) involved in the production and use of drawings or models.
